Guest Post
Write for Just a Secular Homeschooler
I welcome guest posts from fellow homeschooling parents, educators, and experts who want to share their knowledge with the secular homeschooling community.
What I’m Looking For
Topics I love:
- Secular curriculum reviews and recommendations
- Homeschooling methods and philosophies (Classical, Charlotte Mason, unschooling, eclectic, etc.)
- Subject-specific teaching tips (math, science, history, language arts)
- Balancing homeschooling with work and life
- Homeschooling specific age groups or learning styles
- Book lists and resource roundups
- Real stories from the trenches (what worked, what didn’t)
- Transitioning to/from homeschooling
- Socialization and extracurriculars
- High school homeschooling and college prep
- Diverse family perspectives: LGBTQ+ families, families of color, single parents, blended families, neurodivergent families, multilingual families
- Inclusive education: Teaching diverse history, anti-racist curriculum, LGBTQ+ inclusive resources, and disability advocacy in homeschooling
I especially welcome submissions from:
- LGBTQ+ parents and families
- Parents of color and from marginalized communities
- Parents of neurodivergent children
- Single parents
- Parents with disabilities
- Multilingual and multicultural families
The secular homeschooling community is diverse, and I want this blog to reflect that reality. If you have a perspective that’s underrepresented in homeschooling spaces, I want to hear from you.
What I’m NOT looking for:
- Religious curriculum or faith-based homeschooling content
- Sales pitches disguised as articles
- AI-generated content
- Anything promoting MLMs or get-rich-quick schemes
- Content or curriculum published elsewhere (must be original)
- Discriminatory, hateful, or exclusionary content or curriculum of any kind
- Content or curriculum that promotes harmful stereotypes or marginalizes any community
- Pseudoscience, conspiracy theories, medical misinformation, or anti-vaccine rhetoric
